The Story was illustrated after an idea of Sabrina Ross via commission.
The landscape from the croft was captured by Sally Wild, a local Artist , beautifully.

This is a beautiful book to look at and to absorb. I enjoyed meeting all the animals on the pages and hearing their story. It is so unusual to have a book written from the perspective of animals, and it is so important to have that perspective. The illustrations are wonderful and immersive. We love this book. Although my son is only 2.5 and doesn’t fully understand it yet he asked for it to be read again and again and loved looking at all the pictures. It’s a lovely and unusual book from the animals perspectives and provides lots of information about what happens throughout the year to the sheep on the croft throughout the months. Will be purchasing for friends children.

A delightful wee book aimed at children but I’m sure most adults will learn a thing or two as well. It is beautifully illustrated by Sally Wild reflecting life with animals in a Croft in the north of Scotland. It explores the life of sheep, their fleece and its many uses.
I hope it is the first of many adventures of Missy.

Ein sehr schönes Buch für Kinder zum vorlesen, selber lesen und auch für Erwachsene. Die Bilder sind sehr schön gestaltet und der Text aus Sicht der Tiere auch leicht verständlich. Beim lesen merkt man, dass ihr das Tierwohl sehr am Herzen liegt. Das Buch ist sehr empfehlenswert.
